All of the Jetmaster courses are Water Jetting Association (WJA) approved and Certificated, and have the additonal benefit of being endorsed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Courses normally start with the one day Safety Awareness Course.  This is a general water jetting course with no practical sessions and can be attended by anyone. A Certificate and Photocard is issued to successful trainees and is only valid for a 3 year period.

Once a Safety Awareness Certificate has been awarded, the trainee can then take any of the other one-day practical courses, such as ,

Candidates receive a WJA Registration number with their Safety Awareness Certificate, which is theirs to keep and stays with them.  The records are kept and updated by the WJA.  All courses are logged against this original registration number to show how a candidate progresses through his(her) career. WJA registrars maintain the full details of names, the certificates passed and where apporpriate, the expiry date of their Safety Awareness or other Certificate. A copy of the photocard remains on file for exmployers to check that the operator is the person who passed the exam.  The WJA now has this information available by fax, email, and telephone, and there are plans to have it available online at their website, www.waterjetting.org.uk .

Each course successfully passed by candidates will have a certificate awarded to them.  This is a personal certificate and should be held by the operative. The product certificates have no expiry date, however, to be valid, they MUST be accompanied by an in-date  Safety Awareness Certificate and Photocard. Certificates for all courses are issued by the Water Jetting Association (formerly the Association of High Pressure Water Jetting Contractors) to those delegates who reach the required standard.

The courses are usually run at the company premises using the company’s own  equipment, but where no space is available we can locate a suitable nearby venue.

It is therefore vital to keep your Safety Awareness Course certificate in a permanently valid state by making sure that you are up to date.  If you have any questions on the validity of your Safety Awareness Certificate you can check this with the Water Jetting Association.
